"Quota" is a dirty word, but the federal government has "goals" to spend with small business, minority-owned and women-owned businesses. Most of these goals have never been met. If they were it would go a long way toward helping these businesses grow and hire.

Bonusus and commissions are due to employees whose work created success for the companies. If a company did not make a profit or if the profit was not a result of their work they are not entitled to it. Most (all?) of these companies are in business now only because they received assistance from us.

Chris Dodd is a man who loves politics and government. He has a depth of knowledge and experience that will be hard to match. He is a staunch defender of the Constitution. His presence in the Senate will be missed.

As is frequently the case, your questions are stated in such a way as to direct the outcome. No presents does not necessarily equate to "Bah Humbug!" It could mean "no money" which is not the same thing. Where is the option for "we are just exchanging good wishes this year"?

The government uses my tax dollars for a lot of things that I oppose. The very difficult decision about whether to continue or end a pregnancy is still a private matter between a woman and her doctor. If it's legal and covered by private insurance, it should be covered by public insurance.
